Treatment side effects

A side from specific skin diseases, the skin can suffer from the toxic effects of certain illnesses and treatments (e.g. diabetes, dialysis, treatment for cancer, etc.).
Common skin toxicities include: hair loss, extreme skin dryness, irritation, problems with skin repair, hand-foot syndrome, etc. Patients often have to change their care routines to maintain their quality of life and to encourage them to continue with treatment.
